1Be Ware Be Ware Be Ware  Apr 01, 2011 By DEADEYE1958
This Instrument is a Chinese Made cheap horn. I strongly suspect that it is the EXACT same horn that Sam's and Walmart sell under the First Act brand. The valves are slow and sticky, and there doesn't seem to be any amount of cleaning and oiling that will help. Quite frankly, as a Bach Strad owner, I hate to see the Bach name associated with something like this...It's like Steinway putting their name on a cheap electronic keyboard. OBTW, "Bach" actually does not appear anywhere on the horn. Instead, buy a used Bach TR-300 or TR-600. You'll get a MUCH better trumpet made here in the USA!

5Great Starter Instrument!  Aug 28, 2010 By GLC
I have played a professional Bach Stradivarius trumpet for over 30 years. I recently bought one of these for my niece to start band. She is only a 5th grader, so I did not want to spend a lot of money on a trumpet. This instrument is excellent for a beginning student. It plays well and sounds great. No, it is not a Stradivarius, but you are also not paying $3,000.

1Don't buy this trumpet and don't buy anything from this company  Jan 14, 2012 By F. Caputo "book reader"
This has to be the worst company I have ever purchased anything from. The trumpet did come as promised. It is very nice looking. The rebate took almost 3 months to get to me and then instead of a check, they sent a prepaid credit card. Second, and most important, we have had problems with this item. The valves stick and click when in use. When I contacted the company and asked about any warranty, they told me to look at the warranty card. What service is that? If I had a warranty card, I wouldn't have to contact them. We finally had to have the valves repaired at a local music store - they needed different felt pads installed. Please, buy from someone else, these guys are not honest and have zero (0) customer service. Never, never, never again.

4Good beginner trumpet  Jan 03, 2011 By Tim Lane
We got this trumpet for our son who is just starting to learn trumpet in school. It is a lot better than the rental trumpet he started out with (it had sticky valves). So far he is very happy with this one. Only minor comments is that the trumpet comes with a soft case and the valve oil that was sent with the trumpet came in a plastic container that got crushed and leaked during transit.

5Experience Semi-pro  Oct 05, 2009 By Kimberly A. Daniel "Kim Daniel"
I played and still own a Bach Prelude Trumpet. I have had my horn for over 27 years, and it is still one of the best on the market! If the quality is still the same as it was when I first got mine, you are getting an excellent, quality, horn! This one will not disappoint in any way, form, or fashion. The valves never stick, (of course with proper maintenance), and it has great tone. I highly recommend this trumpet for the beginner, although it can very well be played through intermediate, up to professional.
